Object of study (Démie)

Hello,
So here's my object of study. I wanted to do a "not classical" griffin, but at first, my ideas where very foggy, until I thought to choose a tiny bird instead. I went with the "Pygmy Kingfisher", which inspired me to match it with a tiny mouse (they are kinda the same size in real life). I had to do some sketches to get a proper idea out of my mind (and by the time it was, I had an idea for another, and then 5 others, stop it!!)

Oh, before that, we had to do a perspective exercice, right?
Here's mine :P

And here's the official assignment:
I went crazy with the details, I know (I had way too much fun doing this).

I have to admit though that I did struggle, once I did the side view (my first drawing), I was "blanked" for a (way too long moment) to figure out how I would do a precise front & top view out of this... I did the front + top view at the same time and it was "easier" as one was correcting the other (and then, I regretted to have pushed the side view that far already... so I've learned to make at least all 3 at the same time...) ;)

For the isometric view, I did blanked double time Ô_o'  Though I understand the theory of isometric, I did few attempts and failed... I went looking for some tools on the web and I found a grid (here!) to help me out. It was still pretty hard to pull out and I'm not super satisfied with the result (I had about none photo refs in 3/4 profil for neither the mice or the kingfisher) and the end result seems too squished somehow... Maybe I did the shadows wrong and it feels too flat?

And I'm not very satisfied with the wings neither... I feel like I should have done some sort of side panel or annexe of what the wings should look like when opened (back + inside)... I'm not sure...

Anyhow, here's with the construction lines:
